Heverlee student residence accommodation - traveling from the Leuven train station [in PDF]

IPRA Conference volunteers who will have a table in the main hall of the Leuven train station to help you during the following times:

Please notify us by e-mail if you arrive outside these hours and send a message to: ipraweb@gmail.com (with as subject: arrival date IPRA)

  • Sunday, 13 July: 14:00-midnight
  • Monday, 14 July: 8:00-midnight
  • Tuesday, 15 July, 7:30-noon

The volunteers will also provide you a map of the city with conference sites highlighted. Additionally, there will be someone at the Heverlee student residences to give you your key until midnight.

Take the bus number 1 or 2 (direction Heverlee Campus) from the train station through the centre of town and out to the Leuven ring road on the south side of Leuven. Get off the bus at the stop "Naamsepoort" (across the intersection of Naamsestraat and the ring road). We recommend you ask the driver to notify you when you get there. You will need then to walk 5-10 minutes along the ring road to the right/west, past the Delhaize grocery store, past the "OHL" football stadium. Take a left on the road just before the "GB Supermarket" on the ring road. You will see an IPRA sign here for "Heverlee university accommodation". If you come to an intersection with traffic lights, you have gone too far. Follow the signs to a building called "De Waag" (number 10, Studentenwijk Arenberg) where you can get your room key.

If you miss the last bus from the train station (if you arrive very late), ask the taxi driver to take you to the "GB Supermarket" or the K.U.Leuven Sports Centre on the ring road and follow the signs from there.

Directions from the Leuven Station to the IPRA Conference:

Take the bus number 2  (direction Heverlee campus) or 1 (direction Heverlee Boskant) from the train station through the centre of town St. Michielskerk stop (we recommend that you ask the bus driver to tell you when to get off).
Once you are at the St. Michielskerk, walk up to the next street (on the same side of the street) to Charles Deberiostraat and the Pieter de Somer Aula is 75 meters on your left (number 102 Deberiostraat).
